For our site in East Kilbride, we are looking for an experienced:

Quality Assurance and Business Systems Specialist

The opportunity: In this role you will develop and maintain quality, product safety and environmental performance. Each day, you will be providing guidance, training, auditing, analysis and feedback to all sections of the company, in order to maintain compliance to the requirements of customers, bodies of governance, certification standards, and legislation within scope of responsibility.

How you will impact WestRock:

·  Introduce, develop and manage systems and procedures for the management of quality, environment and product safety

·  Ensure the integrity of the quality system is maintained and developed thereby contributing to the achievement of consistent operational performance and standards

·  Schedule, manage and report on the audit program across 3 sites

·  Conduct and report external audits on suppliers and other service providers

·  Develop, manage and report on key performance indicators specific to the role

·  Drive safety, environmental awareness and legal requirement knowledge through staff training

·  Provide local and senior management with statistical information and analysis on audits and incident performance, including recommendations for improvement

·  To develop and support local management in the formulation and implementation of systems procedures

·  Establish and develop good professional working relationships with all relevant stakeholders across WestRock and its external partners

What you need to succeed:

·  Multiple years’ experience within a compliance/quality/technical/role

·  Good knowledge of production environment and technology; from raw materials through to finished products

·  Qualified and experienced in systems and process auditing 

·  Ability to challenge status quo and motivate others to embrace change

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·  Must be willing to travel frequently across the Scottish suppliers’ sites, which may include overnight stays
