Career Opportunity
The Albuquerque location is seeking a Lead Digital Print Center Operator who makes instructional booklets in a digital and mechanical environment. Ensures high quality and process standards are being met. Serves as the Lead Operator in the production output of the FM site.
How you will impact WestRock
· Operates the DPC equipment (digital printers). 
· Counts/bands small bundles, uses guillotine cutter.
· Operates finishing equipment and properly trains employees to operate machinery to maintain scheduled workload.
· Provides basic employee oversight and escalate issues to Production Manager. 
· Verifies and understands customer production and quality requirements. 
· Adheres to QC processes and properly adjusts or notifies Production Manager of quality issues.
· Verifies the set-ups and assists in trouble shooting the digital printing and finishing equipment while properly following safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out.
· Evaluates set-up/make-ready for standard projects and identifies opportunities for improved efficiency and set-up reduction or unproductive time.
· Under Production Manager’s leadership, addresses workflow issues and utilizes continuous improvement initiatives.
· Assists and partners with Maintenance lead to provide technical support when required.
· Uses computer and enters accurate information into the site-specific systems and databases.
· Reads job tickets or production orders, verifies job and part numbers of match customer requirements before loading equipment.
· Performs administrative duties while completing required paperwork, including recording counts.
· Participates and coordinates safety initiatives.
· Ensures team maintains cleanliness and organization of all machines and surrounding areas.
· Trained as a lock-out, tag-out Authorized Employee. Reports unsafe conditions.
· Supplies stocking. Coordinates the work to avoid stock-outs.
· Partners with Production manager to interact with on-site customers.
· Partners with Maintenance lead to perform machine maintenance/troubleshooting and minor repairs.
· Performs other job duties as assigned.

· Must have ability in coordinating the work in a team environment.

· Has a bias for action.
· Must have basic computer skills including electronic mail and word processing.
· Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Must be process- and detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality.
· Must be able to maintain good attendance.
· Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
· Must pass basic reading test.
· Must be able to pass a ruler test.
· Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
· Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Understands lock-out tag-out procedures.
